The study was conducted to map brands entering the European and/or Italian market. Over 65 brands were considered and around 40 brands interested in the European market were analyzed in depth. The focus is on passenger car brands and, in terms of offering, electric and plug-in models in the range are examined in detail. The introductory section is dedicated to brands that have recently entered Italy, where 17 brands with BEV or PHEV models in their range are analyzed. The next two sections are dedicated to other brands that have entered Europe (but not Italy) and those intending to do so, for a total of 22 other brands examined in depth. The analysis framework for incoming brands is based on the following six dimensions:

  • Investors and brand strength
  • Range and motorization
  • Mobility formulas
  • Online sales
  • Sales network
  • Presence in Europe

In addition to the summary representation, according to the framework above, qualitative information and news reports are available that deepen the analysis by brand.

In addition, an analysis of the BEV and PHEV models offered by emerging brands in Europe and Italy is provided, with an indication of the “starting from” price range offered to consumers.

Finally, there is an overview of the distribution models adopted by the new brands and some news and interesting facts from well-known tech companies and manufacturers..

New Brand Observatory 2025

The New Brand Observatory is Quintegia's study, now in its third edition, aimed at mapping new car brands that have entered or are entering the European market. Of the more than 65 brands considered, 43 are gradually entering Europe, 18 of which have already entered Italy since 2021, with sales achieved, and 9 are interested in the national market between 2025 and 2028. Each of these brands was analyzed within the study according to a specific framework based on six dimensions.
