The study was conducted in order to map brands entering the European and/or Italian market. More than 60 brands were evaluated and 30 brands interested in the European market were analyzed in depth. The focus is on passenger car brands with at least one electric or plug-in model in the range. The introductory section is devoted to brands that have recently entered Italy, where 10 brands are considered. The next 3 sections are devoted to brands intending to enter Italy or Europe and recently entered Europe, for a total of 20 brands examined in depth. The framework of analysis of entry brands is based on 6 dimensions below:

  • Investors and brand strengths
  • Range and motorization
  • Autonomous Driving
  • Mobility formulas
  • Online sales
  • Presence in Europe

In addition to the summary representation, according to the framework above, qualitative information and news reports are available that deepen the analysis by brand.

New Brand Observatory 2024

The New Brand Observatory is Quintegia's study aimed at mapping new car brands entering or entering Italy or Europe with an electric-powered range (BEV or PHEV). Among the more than 60 brands considered, there are 30 electrified brands that are entering, including 10 that have already entered Italy since 2020, 10 interested in the domestic market largely by 2024, and another 10 among those already present and entering other European countries, excluding Italy for the time being. Each of these brands was analyzed within the Study according to a specific framework.
